If you're seeing shipping charges at checkout, there are a few common reasons why a free shipping offer may not apply.
1. Your order total may be below the required amount after discounts
For free shipping offers with a minimum purchase requirement, eligibility is based on our merchandise total after coupons, promotions, or Rewards are applied and before tax is added.
To determine your qualifying merchandise total, subtract any discount from the Merchandise Subtotal shown in your Order Summary.
Example for a $50 free shipping offer:
In your Order Summary, start with the Merchandise Subtotal and subtract any coupon, promotion, or Rewards discount.
Free shipping applies
- Merchandise Subtotal: $65.00
- 20% Off Discount: -$13.00
- Amount after discount: $52.00
Because the amount after the discount is still above the $50 requirement, free shipping applies
Free shipping does not apply
- Merchandise Subtotal: $50.00
- 20% Off Discount: -$10.00
- Amount after discount: $40.00
Because the amount after the discount is below the $50 requirement, free shipping does not apply.
Tip: The Order Summary displays your Merchandise Subtotal and any discounts applied. To determine if your order meets a free shipping minimum purchase requirement, subtract the discount amount from the Merchandise Subtotal.
2. Your order includes Pick Up in Store items
Pick Up In Store items do not count toward free shipping offers because those items are not being shipped.
If your order contains both shipped and Pick Up In Store items, only the merchandise being shipped is considered when determining eligibility for free shipping.
3. Check the offer details
Free shipping offers can vary. If free shipping isn't applying, confirm that:
- Your order meets any required minimum purchase amount
- Any required promotional code has been entered correctly
- Your order includes eligible merchandise
- The offer is valid for your shipping destination
- The offer has not expired
Review the offer details for any additional requirements or exclusions.
